Recovering from Self-Isolation

In 2005 I walked into a Burger King with less than a nickel.

It hurt me to think of my self value, self respect..

The pressures that are placed on us are immense, we fall, we rise, yet we care.

The hardships of 2021, the gardens, the pastures,

the flowers, the #dandelions

As an only child, boarding school 9,000 miles away, at the age of ten, the pain of being alone is, almost friendly

It taught me.

But we find solace in the choices we make and the people we engage through etiquette, and kindness..

We are not absorbed by the cultural, we are questioning of it.

Can we find peace in engagement, or loss through it?

We learn.
