Euphoria
As a child (7-14) I used to go to the pool at the nearby pool in central Tokyo, admittedly being one of the lucky ones. I felt like I was in heaven, but I never stopped to ask why! Having recently almost poisoning myself with 'Clorox' with the chemical agent #chlorine, from being able to open my eyes under water in a highly chlorinated pool as a child, I still remember the other kids wearing goggles an, remember this!, nose clips! Mix my underwater extravagances, neither nor, with extreme heat and #sunlight and undoubtedly heat exhaustion, and no sunglasses, and I'd like to talk about the ups and downs of the Summer season.
Heat Exhaustion!
The #Pacific is different from the #Atlantic in the constant humidity. You can't get away from it, so despite the nerve rattling temperatures you hardly feel thirsty, so it sneaks up on you. Playing tennis in 108 #Fahrenheit temperatures (next to Anna Kournikova, I'm blessed to say), and being offered a scholarship to stay at 'Nick Bollitieri', I've seen young, healthy men collapse. If you drink too much liquid you collapse, if you drink too little you collapse, it's a strange feeling, and I've come close. It's a black out.

The 'mix' of dehydration, chlorine, and the overproduction of vitamin E, as having discussed 'euphoria', always had me wanting more as the largest organ on the human body getting drenching in #solarradiation, being made to change on an epidermal level creates vulnerability, emotionally speaking ...
False memories
We lower our defenses and then after euphoria comes delirium. Shortness of breath, dizziness, #hyperventilation these were some of the symptoms I had in #HongKong .. drenched in humidity and sweltering heats, practically willing to knock over a soda machine just to stay conscious. The symptoms of delirium if you recognize them early are easy to cater to, not to say pretending to be a patron to a bar, or hotel are out of the question!?
Don't worry people tend to be very understanding if the #symptoms are there!
Memory Distortion
Inevitably we make mistakes without the proper precautions. Leading to comments like 'no running at the pool', and constant visits to the ample water fountains. And the fathers, typically, anxiously drinking a beer looking out for sons, daughters and friend's also.

Making the most of it!
#hydration + euphoria + #recovery
On one sunny day my mother came to me with a big grin on her face, and an even bigger glass of Coca-Cola, as a right of passage into her #NewYork way of thinking, knowing that feeling refreshed in the Summer was more valuable than gold. I have never felt so endeared to be her son, she had even bought a special glass for the occasion!?!
Getting a child to focus on liquids, after being in the sun was her obligation, as I understand all too clearly now. The choice of liquid after that being my own. 'The Chimp Paradox'
